Preview Slide Lecture

Foster City Art and Culture Committee along with Joyce Chan and Frank Jang are sponsoring a special preview slide lecture of the most anticipated exhibition ever to hit the West Coast.

The Golden Age of Chinese Archaeology, Celebrated Discoveries from the People's Republic of China exhibited at the Asian Art Museum, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California from June 17 through September 11, 2000.

The first exhibition of the scope and quality in the West, The Golden Age of Chinese Archaeology offers visitors a rare glimpse of nearly 240 startling discoveries recently unearthed in China. More than 30 Chinese museums have contributed these national treasures - all thousands of years old - including an array of jades, bronze sculptures, and ornate silver and gold vessels, as well as several life size terra-cotta warriors from Xi'an. Learn about these exciting discoveries and how they have changed our views of ancient civilizations.
